Pluto’s Final Revelations in Capricorn
So how are you going? As I shared in my 2024 Astrology Forecast at the beginning of the year, this was always going to be a year of profound change and this appears to have been more intense than anyone had imagined.
The human civilisation project is undergoing a massive transformation. In the years ahead, we are going to witness waves of progressivism, scientific breakthroughs, technological leaps, social, economical and political reform resulting in major shifts in our relationship with each other, our world, and the cosmos. What it feels like to be human is changing, and it’s happening so fast that if you try to pause and understand, you risk being left behind by yet another wave of change.
The full moon in Taurus this week on November 15/16 is going to amplify the intensity of great change as the moon will be conjunct Uranus—the planet of pattern interruption. Plus, Pluto—the planet demanding transformation—will be trine Uranus and in the final degree of Capricorn preparing to move over a major threshold into a whole new era on Earth. 2024 has been huge and this full moon will be a moment of culmination and completion… I mean, can you even believe that the year is practically already over?
The general vibe of 2024 has been one of learning how to be with the complexity of life without having your mind and heart explode. In the world of astrology, the 2020’s have been marked as a decade of profound evolution, challenging the very notion of what it means to be human. If you’re able to open your mind to the incredible complexity of life and let go of trying to control the uncontrollable, then the rest of the 2020’s could be a time of great evolution for you personally.
Right now Pluto is in the final degree of Capricorn. Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, is the force behind the structures, traditions, and power systems that shape our external world. This includes governments, corporations, institutions and all of the power structures we rely on to feel secure and in control of nature and our lives on Earth.
But since 2008, Pluto the planet of primordial force that demands transformation, has been moving through Capricorn, revealing the weaknesses in these structures and exposing what is exploitative, artificial, outdated and weak. This period has been like a collective initiation, dragging up our deepest fears and illusions, revealing what no longer holds any real meaning or truth with regard to our unquestioned traditions and power structures.
Now, with Pluto reaching the final degree of Capricorn preparing to enter into Aquarius permanently on November 20th where it will remain until 2043, it feels as though we’re standing at the edge of something momentous. It’s as though there is an intense, almost urgent need to absorb everything that’s been revealed, to truly understand the depth of what has come to light. We’re being given a chance to face the shadows and to reckon with what no longer serves, and to take these hard-won insights forward as we prepare to step into a new era.
But Pluto isn’t exiting Capricorn quietly.
Mars, the planet of action and intensity, opposes Pluto, adding a confrontational dynamic to the mix. This planetary stand-off won’t be over soon as Mars is set to turn retrograde in December which means this energy will keep reverberating through until May 2025. We’re in a cosmic pressure cooker, where unchecked power is under scrutiny, and we’re being called to confront the shadows within our institutions and, perhaps more personally, within ourselves.
Shadow work isn’t just personal, it’s a collective journey we’re all on right now. As the veil lifts on issues that have long remained hidden, we’re being shown what’s artificial, exploitative, and no longer serving us. Facing our shadows and the fears, illusions, and suppressed aspects of ourselves is the only way to grow into a fuller version of humanity. It’s like the phrase I’ve heard many wise ones say, “You can only transcend that which you know.” This idea has been my compass in moments of darkness, reminding me that my own shadow is a pathway to wholeness.
Working with your shadow doesn’t mean eliminating it; it means understanding its roots, forgiving yourself, and choosing to grow with self-compassion. We all have a shadow and without it, there is no light. However, if left unchecked and unexamined, our shadow manifests externally in ways that feel beyond our control, creating repetitive negative patterns, judgments, anxieties, and self-doubt. But through shadow work, we gain insight into ourselves opening the door to true transformation.
As Pluto’s cycle in Capricorn draws to a close, we’re witnessing this shadow play out in our social, political, and economic systems. The pressures of 2024 are asking us to look deeply into these structures and question their integrity, relevance, and place in our lives moving forward. Pluto’s shift into Aquarius promises a new cycle focused on innovation and evolution in technology, humanity, politics, economics and social structures, ushering in 20 years of transformation focused on propelling our species forward.
My suggestion… embrace the intensity. Work with your shadow. Awaken the courage to navigate the unknown. The challenges we’re facing as a collective are intense, but they also signal that we’re ready to evolve as a species.
By facing the darkness within and around us, we’re taking the first steps toward creating a world that’s not just new, but more aligned with truth, compassion, and resilience (this theme will intensify in 2025). 2024 has not only been about holding complexity but letting it guide us toward a more powerful understanding of our shared human experience.
Take a moment to step out of the noise this Taurus Full Moon and really honour just how much has shifted for you throughout 2024. Are you feeling open to the evolution, and maybe even revolution, unfolding in your life?
The astrology coming in 2025 brings a whole new dimension to our every day realities and I know I’ve been quiet here recently. That’s because I’ve been working closely with a small, intimate group, exploring some new ways of supporting and guiding. I’ll have more to share about that in the new year. But in the meantime, I’m excited to announce my free yearly Astrology Forecast is coming back. I’ll be diving into these big upcoming shifts and cycles, and I can’t wait to share my perspective on what’s ahead for us all.
With love always,
