There will be forces trying to pull you backwards this lunar month. Hold the line and don’t give up!
This lunar month begins at the new moon in Gemini on June 17th/18th. At this new moon, Pluto and Saturn have recently entered into retrograde cycles. These can be heavy patterns that potentially give you a sense of being pulled backwards into the past and into old dynamics. This could be areas of your life that you thought you were done with and it feels like life is reversing you back into your old stories and conditioning that you may be tired of dealing with.
But the new moon in Gemini wants to expand your perception and open your mind to another way of looking at it all. As we are reversing back into the old stories and patterns, the Gemini new moon is saying “hey, look at it all from another angle and try to see how it all connects in new ways”.
Gemini new moons are usually a more lighter time where life invites you to see the great cosmic joke in it all. Gemini has the capacity to see all sides of everything. From Gemini’s non-dual perspective, nothing is as serious, solid or fixed as it initially seems. This is where we can go beyond duality and beyond the right/wrong, good/bad of life and open our minds to explore so much more. Gemini wants to remind you that life is actually beyond these dualities.
Rumi, the great 13th century mystical Persian poet wrote:
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I'll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about. ~ Rumi.
The beginning of this lunar month is asking you to zoom out and play with the cosmic joke. Try to not get pulled into the old stories and caught up in all of the fear and extreme views out in the world. Work with the new moon to set some incredible new intentions for your life regardless of what is playing out on the world stage. Step back and let the great cosmic story unfold - because it is going to be looking weird out there.
There is a super magical Mercury Cazimi (Mercury-Sun conjunction) coming up July 1st! (scroll down to dive deeper) This is a time where you may notice enhanced synchronicity in your life. And since Mercury is the ruling planet of Gemini (where the new moon is happening), this can be a magical time where your strong intentions from the new moon may become more obvious or get a magical boost!
We are on the brink of a new way of being on Earth and it is so obvious that there are so many people out there trying to control the new narratives and this controlling (and extremely noisy) dynamic may really amplify this lunar month as Pluto has just dropped back into Capricorn to stay until the end of the year. Pluto wants to make sure the job is done!
With Pluto going retrograde now in Capricorn the world will be going through another powerful phase in the years long process of unravelling and dismantling old cultural beliefs, power structures and systems that are outdated and/or negatively based on vertical, top down hierarchical structures.
Ancient patterns and traditions are changing, we are moving into totally new ways of organising our societies and life on Earth. The rest of this year is potentially going to see the old forces fighting hard trying to hold on and conserve old values and old ways.
Pluto will journey back into Aquarius early next year and then back into Capricorn for a few months in 2024 - just to make sure that we get it! Remember, Pluto first entered Capricorn in 2008 when the Global Financial Crisis was kicking off. This is the ending of a big chapter around the financial systems and big corporations so it won’t be surprising to see these institutions going through a huge process over the coming months and into next year.
We then have a full moon in Capricorn July 3rd. The full moon in Capricorn and Pluto retrograde in Capricorn may be forcing us to review and reconcile the patterns of our collective addiction to material gain and wealth at the expense of the quality of the lives of everyone on the planet. This may be a super challenging time, but it is necessary.
Plus, Saturn going retrograde in Pisces may really be forcing us to rethink and get honest about how we are structuring society and our lives on Earth. Any delusional ways of being on Earth are going to be challenged greatly over the coming months.
It could look like it all gets worse for a moment but trust in the process! We don’t know what needs to be purified if we never see what it is that is tainted and these cycles will be bringing it all to the surface and showing us where we are out of balance and living in lies and distortions.
Major Transits for the Lunar Month
(i) JUPITER SEXTILE SATURN
June 19th (active a week or so either side) - A huge boost to your personal goals!
Saturn rules over structure and form and Jupiter expands and boosts everything it touches. When these two planets come together in a positive aspect such as a sextile, we are able to build and create structures, systems and get organised in ways that really expand our lives.
This pattern will be positively impacting the Gemini new moon and the Mercury Cazimi so please don’t give up on your dreams this lunar month. Don’t let the world close in on you. There is a huge adjustment going on and it’s confronting but if you work with your inner magic and wisdom, let go of grasping at things that are unnecessary, you could actually find you are dreaming a new and brighter future for you and the world!
(ii) NEPTUNE RETROGRADE IN PISCES
July 1st - December 6th - Unravelling the spells.
As I shared above, Saturn is retrograde also in Pisces this lunar month. These two transits happening at the same time could make this a time of the spells unravelling. There appears to be some big agendas at play and people wanting to control narratives before the actual stories are written.
It will be interesting to observe how the Saturn, Pluto and Neptune retrogrades impact this. The themes associated with these retrogrades, the planets and the signs they are in is really hinting at the undoing of the spells cast on the collective by agendas focused on bigger control of the powerful agendas. The rest of 2023 seems to be focused on the revelation of agendas that are not based in truth.
(iii) MERCURY CAZIMI IN CANCER
July 1st (active a week or so either side) - A time for magic!
This is a pretty special astrological configuration. It is a time when the power of the Sun and the power of Mercury come together and are unified and amplified by the qualities each other. You could see this as a time when the rays of the Sun are imbued with the power of the sacred messenger, the messenger to the Gods - Mercury. It has been said that this is a time when magical messages can come to you and you can connect all of the dots and so much makes sense!
Also, this is in a super positive aspect to Jupiter and to Saturn retrograde. If you can get out of the matrix and sit with your inner wisdom and magic, this will be supported. Don’t give up and you might just access some ways of really moving your life story forwards.
You may even be able to tune into new solutions to your personal problems or even those of the people around you. Plus this is happening in Cancer which is all about nourishment and nurturing. What comes through will want to support you over time and sustain you.
As Mercury is the ruler of the new moon, you may want to revisit what you were creating and manifesting at that time and sit and boost the energy of this at the exact time of the Mercury Cazimi! Or maybe you have a new intention that you wish to empower and seed in!!!

Major Lunar Themes
(i) NEW MOON IN GEMINI
June 17th/18th depending where you are in the world.
The world is moving through some incredible new dynamics and this new moon is an opportunity to step back and try to see all of the moving parts. This is a time to open your mind to other ways of seeing the world and to ‘catch up’ so to speak to a rapidly shifting reality.
This new moon is asking you to expand your vision and gain perspective. Soften your gaze for a moment and try to look past the duality.
To find fulfilment you must look wide and open your mind to all possibilities! Being fixed on one way and staying small is going to become increasingly more uncomfortable as you can miss magical opportunities to grow into something new in the world as it evolves.
The agendas are ramping up. People instinctively know that there are new timelines opening up and there are many that want to control the narrative but you don’t have to engage with the noise! Think critically, open your mind and trust your own intelligence and your own capacity to know what is true so you can access a true experience of reality.
With Saturn and Pluto newly in retrograde at this new moon, the temptation to be pulled back into old patterns, fears and habits may be strong. If that is happening to you, then step out, get perspective and set strong intentions that keep you moving forwards no matter which way the tides turn at this new moon!
If you can, spend some time stepping out of the noise. Zoom out at this new moon. Acknowledge all of the moving parts and see how it all connects.
What’s the thread that weaves it all together?
Spend some time at this new moon allowing all that is going on to be witnessed. Maybe you can mind map everything or share it with a friend.
Spend some time recognising the people who support you in this process.
Don’t forget, the Mercury Cazimi happens just before the full moon in Capricorn. Noticing what is coming up at the new moon and watching how this connects with what you are releasing from the past at the full moon.

(ii) FULL MOON IN CAPRICORN
July 3rd everywhere in the world.
This full moon is inviting you to let go of the previous generations stories around material wealth and the pursuit of material wealth and the greed required for this pursuit!
When we don’t find peace in conventional success for example you’ve reached the highest goal but you still feel sad, then you have been chasing the dreams of your culture and not your own.
This full moon is inviting you to look within. What parts of the material reality are you grasping at that is actually harming you? What parts of the material realms are you grasping at that isn’t actually what you truly want?
Are you seeking material items for the sake of it? Or are you seeking material items in an alignment with your true desires to express yourself in this life time? There really is a difference and this lunar month is asking you to honestly review how you are with resources and the material realm.
Do a stock take. Simplify. Do you really need the extra whatever it is? The agendas are honestly ramping up and it is an effort to stay centred and focused on what truly matters to you, but you can do it!
Can you find pleasure in the simple joys of life or are you constantly feeling lack and chasing something more never feeling satisfied? This is suffering!
With Pluto and Saturn being retrograde, this full moon is asking you to really look at your values and unravel the myths and spells you inherited from previous generations about wealth.
To free yourself of suffering the endless pursuit of success, let go and see what is already there!
We have been healing intergenerational trauma and busting the myths that we have inherited and this may be amplified as Pluto is back in Capricorn.
But you have already conquered so much and this full moon is giving you an opportunity to see what you’ve already conquered and to let go of whatever you know is in the way of you growing, evolving and expanding into the new paradigms!
In Summary:
This month, take a step back. Zoom out. See the cosmic joke at play as much as you can! As the great Buddhist philosophers say, it is all an illusion. It is not as real you have been conditioned to believe. Let the noise and chaos wash over you. There is just so much nonsense out there and if you are engaging with spell casters trying to control the narrative, remember that it is just that - stories and spells.
Work with this lunar cycle to seed intentions that keep your head above the water and the noise and then let go of grasping at material items that are coming from greed and ignorance!
Stay with your inner wisdom. Let go of grasping at the things they tell you to want and you will have a chance at seeing beyond the illusion and experiencing something more honest about reality and about your personal journey.
